Many countries use electrical appliances that run on 220 volts or 240 volts and run at 50 Hertz. The USA uses electrical appliances that run on 110 volt 60 Hertz. 16mm Projectors made for 110 volt 60 Hertz will not work well in countries that use 220 to 240 volts 50 Hertz. It will not work well even with a transformer. If you buy a 16mm Film Projector, it is good to buy the right one for the country you plan on using it in.
